Could the Future of Medicine be in Alligator Blood?

According to some new studies being done on large reptiles the answer might be yes.  Studying the Alligator blood researchers have found that it destroyed 23 different types of bacteria (including some that have become notorious for their antibiotic Resistance) and even had compelling effects on HIV.  Read all about it in this National Geographic article.  It would be really interesting if in a decade or so we are given a prescription to Alligator blood pills every time we get a really bad cold.
