X-Ray Images

This Time Magazine photo gallery is just very cool.  I guess I had never really thought of x-ray images as creating very interesting and beautiful works of art.

Octopuses (Octopi?) are awesome!

Actually I am of the opinion that pretty much any Cephalopods are awesome.

A young planet far out in space

I know I’ve probably said it before, but I am always amazed at the age of things in the universe.  Our Sun itself has probably been burning for more than four and a half billion years.  So when scientists discover a young forming planet that is possibly only a few hundred years old it is considered quite a find.  The National Geographic articlethat discusses this discovery is fascinating.  observing this young protoplanet may lead to a lot of knowledge about how our own solar system was created billions of years ago.  Very cool stuff.
